Becoming a member of the International Association of Theocentric Psychologists provides you with a professional clinical affiliation that is God centered, and Faith Based. IATP is international, multi-disciplinary, and is recognized by EHCCA health colleges & clinics association. We are a professional association of pastoral clinicians dedicated to the support and development of theocentric psychology and pastoral counseling. IATP offers professional leadership and networking opportunities including clinical recognition in IATP Counseling Centers, EHCCA schools and clinics, & their affiliates. Members receive a professional membership certificate upon acceptance by the Examination Board with optional designation(s). Membership requirements Professor/Diplomate Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) from a Christ centered college, seminary or university and a minimum of ten years experience in the practice of clinical theocentric psychology and/or pastoral counseling. <or> graduate degree from a secular college and a minimum of ten years in practice as described above. <or> Approved studies and experience equal to the above. Fellow Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) from a Christ centered college, seminary or university and a minimum of two years experience in the practice of clinical theocentric psychology and/or pastoral counseling. <or> graduate degree from a secular college and a minimum of four years in practice as described above. <or> Approved studies and experience equal to the above. Associate Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Christ centered college, seminary or university. <or> graduate degree from a secular college and a minimum of two years in practice as described above. <or> Approved studies and experience equal to the above. Ambassador/Student Students pursuing studies and/or practice may join IATP with Ambassadorship while completing studies and clinical requirements. Include letter from pastor or school information with resume. Our mission is to promote the pastoral arts and health sciences by providing clinical recognition in the areas of psychology and pastoral counseling; to advance research, education and standards of practice in theocentric psychology and pastoral counseling, to establish schools and counseling centers, and to advise others where they may locate services. |
